The name of the amaro evokes the German school starting from the exclamation term "Wunderbar", wonderful. The recipe was brought to Italy by a cousin of the Luparia family, on a business trip to Germany; tasted this bitter he fell in love with it and probably exclaimed "Wonderful!" raising a glass to the sky.
