PLIN DELLE LANGHE 300 g

Plin are a traditional preparation of Piedmont, in particular of our Langa area, have ancient origins and are mentioned in 1846 in a recipe by a Turin chef. Their name (plin) derives from the pinch that is given to the dough to enclose the filling, squeezing it into a thin sheet between thumb and forefinger. They are tiny pockets of stuffed egg puff pastry. Plin are usually boiled for a few minutes in abundant salted water and seasoned with butter, parmesan and sage or with roast sauce. Following an ancient tradition, they can be served plain, lying on a white napkin, or drowned in a full-bodied red wine. Il Plin reflects the philosophy of our laboratory. It has always accompanied moments of celebration and conviviality in our countryside. It is a complete dish: it contains eggs, vegetables, meat, rice, cheese and flour. Our Plin are unique and genuine, produced exclusively with selected meats, without flavor enhancers.
