History: The Anna Maria Abbona company has very ancient origins: great-grandfather Giuseppe already cultivated the vines in Dogliani as sharecropper many years ago, dreaming one day of owning his own land. Unfortunately, Giuseppe's life was too short to see this dream come true and therefore his son Angelo took care of it. He began by buying some land and re-grafting most of the vineyards due to the crisis generated by the phylloxera around 1936. The first vineyard was the historic Maioli vineyard, from which the construction of our company began. Subsequently, the leadership of the company passes under the guidance of Anna Maria's father, Giuseppe Abbona, who resisted the temptation to move to the city as most people did in those years of industrialization and urbanization, indeed even improving the existing vineyards and planting new ones. new. The further turning point of the company came in 1989, when both Anna Maria and her husband were busy in different jobs, but they still decided to invest in the family business project by planting vineyards, building a new cellar and acquiring important slices of the market. The vinification is traditional in red then with maceration on the skins and takes place in steel. The wine refines for a few months in the vinification containers in order to refine some of its characteristics while keeping the characteristic aromas intact. It follows a few months in the bottle before being placed on the market. Tasting notes: Ruby red color with violet reflections.
