Dogliani is a docg wine produced only from Dolcetto grapes. It is the maximum expression of this vine that gives its best in the territory that acts as a bridge between the areas of Barolo, Alta Langa, the Cuneo plain crossed by rivers and white gullies, rocky walls of marl and tuff that descend to overhang.

PRODUCTION AREA

Dogliani DOCG is produced in the lower Langhe area which crosses a handful of municipalities: Bastia Mondovì, Belvedere Langhe, Briaglia, Castellino Tanaro, Ciglié, Clavesana, Dogliani, Farigliano, Igliano, Marsaglia, Monchiero, Niella Tanaro, Piozzo, Rocca Ciglié, Carrù, Mondovì, Murazzano, Roddino, S. Michele Mondovì, Somano, Vicoforte. The vineyards are well exposed at an altitude of 250-600 meters above sea level

SENSORY ANALYSIS

Dogliani DOCG has an intense ruby red color with violet reflections, an intense aroma of fresh flowers and fruits such as blackberries and wild cherries, a soft and harmonious flavor, with a pleasant, finely almondy and fragrant aftertaste; moderate acidity gives a touch of singular vivacity.

WHAT FOOD COMBINES BETTER

Dogliani DOCG is a table wine whose main feature is versatility. It therefore goes well with everyday dishes, especially first courses: risotto, pasta, especially fresh pasta such as ravioli, tajarin, tagliatelle with meat sauce and boiled meat. Alcohol content: 13.5%.
