The Pelaverga cultivated since the 15th century on the hilly areas around Saluzzo, the ancient capital of the homonymous Marquisate, is not to be confused with the Pelaverga from which the Verduno Pelaverga Doc is obtained: in fact, they are homonymous but different vines that do not share any genetic kinship. . Of a dull garnet red color with slight purplish reflections; it is rich and spicy on the nose with aromas reminiscent of geranium, violet and rose. Of acidity and alcohol content, it offers an easy but never banal drink. Alcoholic content: 12%. It may contain sulphites.
