ALBAROSSA ROSINGANA 2018 DOC 75cl

Albarossa is a Piedmontese grape variety obtained from a cross from Nebbiolo di Dronero (Chatus) for Barbera, created in 1938 by Professor Giovanni Dalmasso, in search of new varieties that would combine the elegance of Nebbiolo with the freshness of Barbera; crossing these two grapes, Dalmasso found many different clones but only the one called xv / 31 showed those superior qualitative characteristics that met his expectations. This vine was then renamed with the more romantic name of Albarossa. In the last ten years, Albarossa has seen its first real diffusion with new vines, increasingly frequent vinification in purity and with the recognition of the denomination of controlled origin. We too have decided to believe in the grape variety and since 2008 we have been producing this intense and fruity Albarossa from our Cocconato vineyard. Rosingana is the half-hill which, from Cascina della Pieve di Cocconato, slopes down slightly towards the meadows of Marcellina. They are warm vineyards, facing south-west, with fairly fertile clayey soils that yield the company's deepest, most colorful and structured wines. It may contain sulphites. Alcohol content: 13.5%.
