THE ITALIAN VERMOUTH PAR EXCELLENCE, WITH AN UNMISTAKABLE AND INCREASINGLY INTERNATIONAL TASTE, FOR REFINED AND EXCLUSIVE COCKTAILS. It stands out from all the other Vermouths for its unique bouquet and its unmistakable vanilla notes. Created in 1786 in Turin by Antonio Benedetto Carpano, it has come up to date in its inimitable recipe thanks to the love and ability of the Fratelli Branca Distillerie which, with its motto Novare Serbando, has been able to maintain all the qualities and characteristics of the product. The extraction of the numerous aromatic plants takes place through hot infusion or cold extraction, depending on the raw material, following the methods handed down over the centuries that constitute, together with the formula, the secret of this product. The SAFFRON used in Ancient Formula is of high quality coming mainly from the highlands of Iran and is presented in whole stigmas free of impurities, with an average length of 1.5-2 cm. This ingredient is known for its antioxidant properties and for its preciousness: to obtain one kilogram, the stigmas of about 150,000 flowers must be hand-picked. In Persia it was used as an aphrodisiac. Color: bright brown with amber veins. On the nose: the vanilla bouquet is accompanied by notes of spices, citrus fruits and dried fruits: almonds, raisins, cloves. In the mouth: the round, rich and vanilla taste, which takes up the olfactory note, happily sabbina with the notes of bitter orange, dates, cocoa beans and saffron. Alcoholic degree: 16.5%
