TASTING: Color: pale straw yellow with greenish reflections Bouquet: fresh, lively and fruity Taste: intense and pleasant fruity sensations are perceived on the palate, with a good acidity. It may contain sulphites. Alcohol content: 12.5% PAIRING: Cieck's Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG is perfect with fish dishes and Piedmontese appetizers. To be served at a recommended temperature of 10-12 degrees. It is suggested to taste it within 2 years of the harvest. CELLAR The Cieck farm, founded in 1985 and run by Domenico Caretto and Lia Falconieri, offers a range of traditional wines from the Canavese area, one of the oldest wine-growing areas in Piedmont north of Turin near the border with the Aosta Valley and land of origin of Erbaluce di Caluso and Canavese DOC wines. Cieck was born as a small sparkling wine house with the San Giorgio and subsequently with the Calliope Brut sparkling wine and in its 16 hectares of vineyards the main Canavese native vines are planted: first of all the Erbaluce and then the Nebbiolo, up to the Neretto di San Giorgio, rare autochthonous vine subject to a recovery and enhancement project. GRAPE VARIETY AND CURIOSITY Erbaluce di Caluso DOCG di Cieck is obtained from Erbaluce grapes harvested by hand and pressed whole, to preserve the aromas of the fruit. The stalks, skins and seeds are immediately removed: the must ferments at a controlled temperature. It matures in stainless steel tanks and is bottled in spring, the year following the harvest.
